Santiago Quintero

Santiago Quintero is an Assistant Professor of Spanish at Furman University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame, an M.A. from Vanderbilt University, and a B.A. from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá. His research focuses on modern and contemporary representations of monsters in Latin American culture, particularly examining how these depictions illuminate identity, sociability, and humanity. Current work includes a book manuscript on vampires and vampirism in Latin America's cultural history from the late 19th century to present.
