Sanna Aarnio is a Doctoral Researcher and Grant-funded Researcher at the Department of Clinical Equine and Small Animal Medicine within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Helsinki. She is affiliated with the Helsinki One Health (HOH) Doctoral Programme and has contributed to research projects such as the European Network for Optimization of Veterinary Antimicrobial Treatment (ENOVAT) and multiple grant-funded studies.
Her research focuses on veterinary microbiology, infectious diseases, and antimicrobial resistance. She has guided a licentiate thesis on oral antimicrobial medications in dogs and participated in international collaborations, including an academic visit to Utrecht University.
