SangNam Ahn

SangNam Ahn, Ph.D., M.P.S.A., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy at the College for Public Health and Social Justice, Saint Louis University. His academic work spans health services research, health equity, and chronic disease management, with a strong focus on aging populations and vulnerable communities.

Dr. Ahn's research centers on health equity, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), aging and long-term care policy, obesity, lifestyle risk factors, and health promotion. He investigates how social, behavioral, and psychological factors influence health outcomes, particularly among older adults and low-income populations. His work often employs longitudinal data to explore causal pathways between early-life adversity, chronic conditions, mental health, and healthcare utilization.
