Sang Hyeon Kang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Entrepreneurial Engineering and Engineering Management at Western Michigan University. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Manufacturing and Systems Engineering from Iowa State University (2024).
His research program examines spine biomechanics, ergonomic intervention effectiveness, and biomechanical modeling for occupational health. Kang has contributed to 10+ peer-reviewed publications and five sponsored projects in office ergonomics, last-mile delivery systems, and appliance manufacturing. He serves as reviewer for CDC/NIOSH Heartland Center, BMJ, Ergonomics, and International Journal of Industrial Ergonomics.
