Sanela Bajramović is a Senior Lecturer at Örebro University's School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, with a focus on pedagogy and educational research. Holding a Ph.D. in history and a teaching license for secondary education in history and English, she has contributed to environmental and sustainability education research through her involvement in the ESERGO research group.
Her research interests center on gender dynamics in humanitarian aid, particularly analyzing Swedish-Bosnian collaborations for women's peacebuilding during 1993-2013. This work explores transnational feminist initiatives, donor-recipient power structures, and the role of education in post-conflict reconciliation.
Key publications examine topics ranging from Bosnian peace activists' study visits in Sweden to critical analyses of Swedish aid's gender equality messaging. Current projects continue her focus on women's roles in humanitarian aid, combining historical perspectives with contemporary peacebuilding frameworks.
She actively collaborates with international scholars and institutions, maintaining affiliations with educational democracy research initiatives at Örebro University. Her work appears in historical journals and edited volumes addressing feminist theory and post-socialist transformations.
