Sandy Henry is a Professor at Drake University's School of Journalism & Mass Communication. Prior to joining the faculty, she accumulated over 20 years of experience in creative advertising and digital media production, working with clients ranging from major grocery chains to non-profit arts organizations and global agricultural seed companies.

Her research focuses on multimedia pedagogy, advertising in athletics (notably the Super Bowl), and curriculum development. She has contributed to academic discourse through leadership roles in the Broadcast Education Association (BEA), including serving as Chair of the BEA Festival of Media Arts (2020-2023) and currently as Faculty Fellow of Student Programs.
Henry has received numerous awards for her professional work, including Addys, Tellys, NAMAs, and CASE Awards. She also emphasizes student success, highlighting awards won by her advisees such as the American Advertising Awards and BEA's Best of Festival Award.
