Sandra Woolley is Reader in Computing at Keele University, Deputy Director of the Digital Society Institute, and Computer Science Research Director. Her multidisciplinary work spans digital health, wearable systems, and cultural heritage informatics.
Research integrates human-computer interaction with health technologies (anaphylaxis management apps, epilepsy monitors) and digital heritage (3D reconstruction of cuneiform tablets). She leads the Virtual Cuneiform Tablet Reconstruction Project and AllergiSense initiative.
Publications emphasize wearable device validation, virtual museum interfaces, and community-centered design. Recent articles address version control in medical wearables and virtual curation of archaeological artefacts.
Awards include Fellowship of the British Computer Society (FBCS) and Senior IEEE membership. Dr. Woolley mentors PhD candidates in human-computer interaction and sensing systems.
