Samaneh Ehteram is a Researcher affiliated with the Cluster of Excellence ‘Understanding Written Artefacts’ (UWA) at the University of Hamburg. She holds a Master of Arts and works in the Artefact Profiling department. Her research focuses on non-invasive material analysis of ancient artifacts using advanced technologies like XRF spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and computed tomography (CT). She is involved in projects such as reading closed cuneiform tablets using high-resolution CT and developing additive-free nanoinks for 3D printing aerogels. Ehteram’s work bridges archaeology, materials science, and digital preservation.
- Projects: Reading Closed Cuneiform Tablets Using High-Resolution CT (2020–2025), Material Analysis of Egyptian Shabtis, and aerogel synthesis.
- Affiliations: DESY (office: Room 94) and University of Hamburg’s Warburgstraße 26 campus.
Her contributions include peer-reviewed publications in journals like Advanced Functional Materials and conference presentations on archaeometric techniques. She collaborates with multidisciplinary teams in cultural heritage preservation and materials engineering.
