Sandra A. Carson

Sandra A. Carson serves as Professor and Section Chief of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) within the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine. Previously, she held significant leadership roles including Vice President of Education at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), where she modernized resident education systems and restructured clinical meetings. Her academic journey began with an MD from Northwestern University Medical School (1977), followed by OB/GYN residency at Prentice Women's Hospital and REI fellowship at University of Chicago/Michael Reese Hospital. She has also served as Professor and REI Director at Women and Infants' Hospital of Rhode Island affiliated with Brown University and Tufts Medical School.

As Section Chief at Yale, Dr. Carson leads the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility program at the Fertility Center, where her team focuses on cutting-edge fertility treatments and research.
