Sander van der Linden is a Professor of Social Psychology in Society and Director of the Cambridge Social Decision-Making Lab at the University of Cambridge's Department of Psychology. He specializes in human judgment, communication, and decision-making, particularly in climate change contexts. His work has been recognized with prestigious awards from organizations like the APS, SPSP, and Royal College of Physicians.
Before Cambridge, he held positions at Princeton, Yale, and the London School of Economics (LSE). His research appears in journals such as PNAS, Nature Human Behaviour, and Nature Climate Change, and is featured in media like the New York Times and BBC. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Environmental Psychology and authored Risk and Uncertainty in a Post-Truth Society (2019).
