Meaghan L. Guckian, PhD is Core Faculty in Environmental Studies and Director of the Climate Change Education Certificate at Antioch University New England. Her research integrates conservation psychology, behavioral science, and climate communication to understand human decision-making in environmental contexts.
- Education: PhD in Environmental Conservation from University of Massachusetts Amherst, MS from University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability, BS in Psychology from St. Lawrence University.
Her research focuses on how social norms, identity, and context shape environmental behaviors. Key areas include climate change denialism, social sanctioning in conservation, and psychological well-being through nature engagement. She uses interdisciplinary methods to analyze:
