Sanda Balescu is a Lecturer at the University of Lille, affiliated with the Faculty of Economic, Social and Territorial Sciences, Department of Geography, Urban Planning and Development. She is associated with UMR 8164 - HISTORY, ARCHAEOLOGY AND LITERATURE OF THE ANCIENT WORLDS.
Her research focuses on:

- Quaternary Geology
- Luminescence Dating of Sediments
Dr. Balescu serves on CNU SECTION 23 which covers PHYSICAL, HUMAN, ECONOMIC AND REGIONAL GEOGRAPHY. Her work bridges geological methods with archaeological applications, particularly in sediment dating techniques.
Her office is located in the Geography Building (office 226) on the Campus Scientific City. Appointments are scheduled by email.
