Sanaa Alwidian

Dr. Sanaa Alwidian is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT). She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa (2020), an M.Sc. from Jordan University of Science and Technology (2009), and a B.Sc. in Computer Information Systems (2007). Her research focuses on software engineering, including goal-oriented requirements engineering, model-based systems, AI applications in software engineering, mobile ad hoc networks, and natural language processing.

Research Interests
Dr. Alwidian’s work spans model-driven engineering, software evolution, AI-driven software analysis, and mobile network protocols. Her contributions include frameworks for model families, goal-oriented justice systems, and energy-efficient leader election algorithms in distributed systems. She actively participates in conferences such as MODELS, SAM, and MoDRE, serving on program committees and organizing workshops.
