Samuel Shuhan is a Teaching Professor of Music at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), where he has been teaching since 2022. He holds a Master of Music Performance from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s Degree from Ithaca College. Shuhan is actively involved in orchestral performance, serving as Assistant Principal Bass in the Lyric Opera Orchestra and Principal Bass in the Santa Barbara Symphony. His career includes roles such as Associate Principal Bass in the LA Opera Orchestra (2019–2021) and guest engagements with the Helsinki Philharmonic, San Francisco Opera, and others. He is also a composer and producer, with studio work featured in film, TV, and video games.
