Samuel Robert Lichter is a Professor of Communication at George Mason University (GMU), directing the Center for Media and Public Affairs (CMAP) and the Statistical Assessment Service (STATS). His research focuses on political communications, political sociology, and health/risk communication. He holds a PhD in Political Science from Harvard University and a BA (summa cum laude) from the University of Minnesota.
