Samuel M. Galvagno

Samuel M. Galvagno, DO, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He serves as Interim Chair of the department and President of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).

Research Interests: Focuses on critical care medicine with a global perspective, specializing in aeromedical critical care, helicopter emergency medical services, prehospital emergency care, trauma resuscitation, patient monitoring, safety & quality improvement in ICU, and medical education. His work integrates robust research methodologies to advance critical care science.
