معرفی
Samuel Hylander is a researcher at Linnaeus University, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, Department of Biology and Environmental Science. His work focuses on aquatic ecology, particularly micronutrient transfer (e.g., vitamin B1) and organismal adaptations to climate change and UV radiation. He studies both freshwater and marine systems across polar, temperate, and tropical regions.
- Current research includes:
- Thiamin dynamics in the Baltic Sea food web
- Climate change impacts on macroinvertebrate biodiversity
- Benthic-pelagic coupling regulation
- Zooplankton UV protective mechanisms
His 15 most recent articles (2025-2023) span themes in climate change, UV radiation, vitamin transfer, and microbial ecology, with subfields including thermal adaptation, salinization effects, and food web interactions. Hylander teaches Freshwater Ecology and the Master’s program in Aquatic Ecology, and serves on the UNEP Environmental Effects Assessment Panel, evaluating ozone depletion and climate impacts.
