Professor Bond's research lies at the intersection of consumer psychology, decision-making, and digital technology. His work investigates how consumers process information and make decisions in online environments, particularly focusing on emotional content in reviews, word-of-mouth dynamics, and the impact of recommendation tools. He explores how expressed emotions such as anger or anxiety affect review persuasiveness, how design symmetry influences brand perception, and how decision aids can improve consumer choices.
The 15 most recent publications (limited to 14 available) reveal a consistent focus on behavioral aspects of digital consumer behavior. The research spans marketing, information systems, and decision sciences, with recurring themes including emotional expression in online reviews, decision objective formation, and the cognitive mechanisms underlying consumer judgment. Keywords across these works include consumer behavior, decision making, emotion, and digital word-of-mouth, with subfields like review helpfulness, preference assessment, and dual-system cognitive processing.
