He joined UTSA in 2013 after earning his Ph.D. in Economics from Boston College and undergraduate degrees in Physics, Mathematics, and Economics from Mercer University.
His research focuses on market and mechanism design, including matching theory, combinatorial choice, and applied game theory. He has explored topics such as strategy-proofness in fractional matching, the implications of WARP in combinatorial choice, and the design of stable-dominating rules for resource allocation. His work also extends to industrial organization, political economy, and the analysis of public policies like Deferred Retirement Option Programs (DROP).

His pedagogical contributions span from foundational mathematics for economists to advanced topics in mechanism design and strategic decision-making.
His research has been published in top journals such as the Journal of Economic Theory, Games and Economic Behavior, and Mathematical Structures in Computer Science. His work bridges theoretical economics with practical applications, addressing real-world challenges in market design and institutional policy.
