Samantha W. Ball serves as the Dignity Index Research Director at the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute and an adjunct instructor at the David Eccles School of Business, University of Utah. She leads annual dignity-in-America reporting and research initiatives focused on advancing deliberative policymaking and productive interactions across workplaces, schools, and civic settings.
Her educational background:

Dr. Ball's research examines dignity in political speech, family-friendly workplace policies, early childhood mental health, and community engagement. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications for improving civic discourse and institutional practices through evidence-based measurement frameworks.
Prior to her current roles, she held positions as a Congressional legislative assistant and program analyst at the U.S. Departments of Education and Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C.
