Sally Temple

Dr. Sally Temple is a Research Professor and Scientific Director of the Neural Stem Cell Institute. She discovered neural stem cells in the embryonic mammalian brain and leads a team of 30 researchers focused on therapies for CNS disorders. A Cambridge and UCL-trained developmental biologist and neuroscientist, she co-founded NSCI and serves on the board of the International Society for Stem Cell Research.

Her research spans neural stem cell characterization, CNS repair mechanisms, and translational applications for eye/brain/spinal cord disorders. Key themes include:
