Harley I. Kornblum is a Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), with appointments in the Departments of Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, Pediatric Neurology, and Molecular & Medical Pharmacology. He is also affiliated with the Jane and Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, the Brain Research Institute, and the Eli & Edythe Broad Center of Regenerative Medicine & Stem Cell Research.

Dr. Kornblum's research focuses on neurodevelopment, neural repair, and brain tumors, particularly the discovery of stem cell-like cells in brain tumors that contribute to therapeutic resistance. His work extends to applications in autism, spinal cord injury, stroke, cerebral palsy, and other developmental disorders of the nervous system.
His affiliations include programs such as the JCCC Cancer and Stem Cell Biology Program Area, as well as graduate program home areas in Cell & Developmental Biology, Molecular Pharmacology, and Neuroscience. His laboratory is based at 635 Charles E. Young Drive South, Los Angeles, CA 90095.
