Dr. Sally Quong is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Teacher Education at the University of Mississippi (UM), serving as Coordinator for Field Experience and Mississippi Teacher Corps. She holds a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from UM. With 17 years of teaching experience in Mississippi public schools, she specializes in integrating English Language Arts (ELA) and social studies in secondary classrooms.
Her roles include coordinating field experiences for teacher candidates and overseeing the Mississippi Teacher Corps program. She teaches courses such as Classroom Assessment (EDCI 419), Student Teaching: Secondary Education (EDLE 480), and Intro to the Teaching Profession (METP 102).
Dr. Quong’s professional background blends academia and classroom practice, emphasizing practical pedagogy for secondary education. She is affiliated with the Oxford campus and contributes to the M.A.T. program. Currently residing in Thaxton, Mississippi, she balances her career with family life.
