Sally Hardy is a Professor of Mental Health and Practice Innovation at the University of East Anglia (UEA), affiliated with the Norwich Institute for Healthy Aging and the School of Health Sciences. She currently serves as Director of the NICHE Anchor Institute, a research initiative funded by the NHS Norfolk & Waveney Integrated Care Board (2023–2026). Her roles include steering committee membership at the Norwich Institute for Healthy Aging and participation in CreativeUEA, an interdisciplinary arts and health initiative.
Her research focuses on person-centred care, mental health practice innovation, and the integration of arts-based methods in healthcare education. Notable projects include the NICHE program exploring lifespan health and the development of interprofessional training programs. She also contributes to clinical education through case studies addressing ethical dilemmas in nursing practice.
Professional activities include visiting researcher roles at General Sir John Kotewala Defense University (2023–2026), Federation University Australia (2023–2026), and Homerton University Hospital NHS Trust (2012–2014). She chairs the Easter Partnership for Innovations in Integrated Care (EPIIC) and collaborates internationally on healthcare system reforms.
