Sally Chung is a Part-time Lecturer at the Parsons School of Design, part of The New School. She is a designer, start-up builder, and advisor based in New York, with extensive experience in venture leadership and digital innovation. Her roles include venture lead of experience design at BCG.X (Boston Consulting Group's tech design unit) and co-founder of HelloAva, an AI-powered beauty platform. She also contributed to Saks Fifth Avenue’s digital initiatives and advises Fortune 500 companies across multiple industries.
Education: BFA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design.
Research & Teaching: Focuses on interaction design, digital product development, and collaborative design practices. Teaches courses such as CD Studio: Dig Product Design and Collab at Parsons, emphasizing hands-on, project-based learning. Runs the Designpreneurs Hackathon to foster collaboration between designers and entrepreneurs.
Advising & Mentorship: Judges NYU’s $300K Entrepreneurs Challenge and serves as a global mentor at the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator. Actively cultivates the next generation of designers through education and community-building initiatives.
Labs & Teams: Leads initiatives at Parsons, including the Design Strategy & Entrepreneurship program, and collaborates with industry partners to bridge design, technology, and business.
