Salih Emre Gercek is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Connecticut's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He holds a PhD from Northwestern University. His research focuses on the history of political thought and democratic theory, particularly exploring themes of equality, participation, and political economy. He is currently working on a book project examining the evolution of modern democracy in 19th-century European thought, analyzing figures such as Tocqueville, Mill, Blanc, and Deroin.
