Sajid Bashir is a Doctoral Associate in Accounting and Finance at the Sheffield University Management School (University of Sheffield). He holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from Middlesex University (London) and a PGCE in Higher Education from the University of Huddersfield. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, he combines academic research with extensive teaching experience.
His research focuses on the Audit Expectation Gap in Accounting, comparing practices across the UK, China, and Singapore. He is exploring the integration of culture into Porters Model frameworks to enhance understanding of this gap. His work is affiliated with the Centre for Research into Accounting and Finance in Context (CRAFiC).
Teaching emphasizes student engagement and innovative methods, with contributions to curriculum development and assessment strategies. He currently leads modules like MGT 6153 and teaches Auditing & Intermediate Financial Accounting in Singapore. He also serves as an external examiner for Anglia Ruskin University.
