Dr. Avik Mukherjee is a Lecturer in Finance and Financial Management at the Sheffield University Management School (University of Sheffield). He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Sheffield, an MBA in Finance from Krea University, India, and a BSc (Hons.) in Economics from the University of Calcutta. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and a Certified Management & Business Educator (CMBE).
His research focuses on CSR and business groups in emerging markets, AI’s impact on strategic risk management, and regulatory frameworks in corporate governance. He is affiliated with the Centre for Research into Accounting and Finance in Context (CRAFiC).
Teaching includes modules on financial management, corporate finance, and international finance. His interactive teaching style incorporates real-world case studies and market data to bridge theory and practice.
