Dr. Beat Reber is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Accounting and Financial Management at the Sheffield University Management School, University of Sheffield. He serves as Programme Director for the MSc Finance and Accounting. His research focuses on IPOs, seasoned equity offerings, venture capital, private equity, market risk, and applications of machine learning in finance. He holds a PhD, MBA, BBA, and PGCHE in Higher Education.
Research interests include ESG disclosure strategies, IPO pricing dynamics, and financial risk modeling. He has published in journals like the Journal of Business Ethics, International Review of Financial Analysis, and European Journal of Finance. His work bridges academic theory with industry practice, informed by prior experience in corporate finance roles and academia.
Teaching spans undergraduate, MSc, MBA, and executive education programs in Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, and Fixed Interest Investment.
