معرفی
Saif Al Ghafri is a Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia (UWA) and Honorary Research Fellow at Imperial College London (ICL), specializing in chemical engineering and energy systems. His affiliations include the School of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering at UWA and the Department of Chemical Engineering at ICL. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from ICL (2013) and an MSc in Advanced Chemical & Process Systems Engineering (2007), alongside a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham (2006).
His research focuses on thermodynamics of complex mixtures, hydrogen technology, LNG processing, and cryogenics. Key areas include phase behavior of reservoir fluids, hydrogen liquefaction, and renewable energy integration. He has contributed to over 50 peer-reviewed articles since 2013, with recent work addressing green hydrogen production, ortho-para hydrogen conversion, and LNG solid formation prevention.
Al Ghafri has held non-academic roles as a Process Engineer at Petroleum Development Oman (2007–2009) and Production Engineer (2004–2005), applying engineering principles to oil and gas operations. His current research emphasizes sustainable energy solutions, including hydrogen storage, LNG export economics, and cryogenic systems optimization. He collaborates with industry through the Future Energy Export CRC and maintains active roles in thermophysical properties measurement and predictive modelling.
