He also contributes to translation projects focusing on Central Asian/Persianate reformism.
His article Women and Gender in Russian Imperial Central Asia for the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Asian History (2023) addresses gender dynamics under Russian imperial rule. Gaziev's work spans historical sociology, legal anthropology, and post-colonial studies, with a particular focus on Central Asian communities.
