Sahar Parsa is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at New York University (NYU). Her research focuses on the interplay between culture, politics, and economic outcomes, with a particular emphasis on innovation processes and political economy. She employs quasi-experimental methods, lab experiments, and machine learning to address questions about institutional determinants and consequences, including topics like LGBTQ+ rights, female political representation, and redistribution policies.
