Saeed Yari is a Research Fellow and Project Leader in the Electrochemical Engineering group at Hasselt University (Belgium). He specializes in post-Li-ion battery technologies, focusing on electrode heterogeneity, cell aging dynamics, and in-situ characterization techniques. His work bridges theoretical insights with experimental validations, addressing challenges in battery performance and longevity.
Yari holds a PhD from Hasselt University (2017–2021), supervised by Prof. M. Safari, following a Master’s in Materials Engineering from the University of Tehran (2013) and a Bachelor’s from the University of Tabriz (2010). His research has explored nano-composite coatings, electrodeposition processes, and advanced battery materials.
His articles emphasize battery electrode design, polysulfide regulation in Li-S systems, and solid-state electrolytes. Key themes include current distribution in large-area electrodes, fracture-induced aging in cathodes, and the impact of surface modifications on electrochemical performance.
Yari leads projects on next-generation energy storage systems, particularly post-Li-ion technologies. His contributions span both fundamental electrochemistry and applied material science, addressing global energy storage challenges.
