Saeed Akbar is a Professor of Accounting and Finance and Interim Dean of the School of Management at the University of Bradford. He holds a PhD from the Alliance Manchester Business School, alongside MA, BBA, and MBA degrees from the University of Liverpool and University of Peshawar. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA, CGMA), he has held roles as Head of Accounting and Finance at Hull University Business School, and lecturing positions at Liverpool and Manchester.
Research focuses on accounting disclosure, corporate governance, sustainable finance, and the nexus between accounting information and stock markets. His work appears in journals like British Journal of Management, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, and International Journal of Finance and Economics.
Teaching includes modules on strategic management accounting and contemporary accounting issues. Collaborations involve universities such as Kent, Southampton, and Liverpool. Professional affiliations include the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
