Sadhana Jagannath is an ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow at Imperial College London’s Dyson School of Design Engineering and a Visiting Researcher at the University of Surrey’s Environmental Psychology Research Group (EPRG). Her work bridges environmental psychology, architecture, and health, focusing on flexible housing design, ageing, and pro-environmental behaviour. She holds a PhD from the University of Surrey (2023) and an MSc in Environmental Psychology (2018), alongside a Bachelor of Architecture (2016).
Her research explores how built environments influence wellbeing, with recent projects like the Designing Homes for Healthy Cognitive Ageing (DesHCA) initiative. She investigates creative methods such as serious gaming to combat ageism in housing planning. Sadhana is affiliated with the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP) and the British Environmental Psychology Society (BrEPS).
Key achievements include the 2024 publication on 'Othering Older People’s Housing,' advancing insights into co-produced solutions for ageing in place. Her fellowship emphasizes translating research into policy and industry practices for sustainable, adaptable housing and healthcare design.
