Sabrina McGary, Ph.D., is the Chair of the Department of Biology at Delaware State University (DSU). She holds a B.A. in Biology from Ripon College (1989), an M.S. in Marine-Estuarine Environmental Science from the University of Maryland, College Park (1998), and a Ph.D. in Animal and Avian Sciences from the University of Maryland, College Park (2001). She completed postdoctoral training in Neonatology at the University of Pennsylvania/Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (2004). While no longer actively conducting research, her past expertise focused on avian physiology, behavior, and endocrinology. As a department chair, she oversees academic and administrative operations within the Biological Sciences division at DSU.
Her educational background reflects a strong foundation in biological sciences, with advanced training in animal and avian sciences. Her leadership role in the Department of Biology underscores her contributions to academic administration and curriculum development.
