Sabrina De Boer

Sabrina De Boer is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Research Fellow at the Department of Chemical Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Santiago de Compostela. Her research focuses on sustainable environmental engineering solutions, particularly enzyme-based systems for antibiotic removal in wastewater and advanced water treatment technologies. She has contributed to peer-reviewed journals such as Cleaner Environmental Systems and Water Process Engineering.

Her research interests include developing eco-friendly methods for micropollutant elimination, evaluating the environmental and economic feasibility of water treatment systems, and integrating magnetic nanoparticles for enhanced bioremediation processes. She has presented her work at international conferences like the 15th Mediterranean Congress on Chemical Engineering (Barcelona, 2023) and the 12th Micropol & Ecohazard Conference (Santiago de Compostela, 2022).
