Sabine N. Meyer is an Assistant Professor of American Studies at Osnabrück University, Germany. She co-edits the Routledge Research in Transnational Indigenous Perspectives monograph series and served as a convener for the 2017 Osnabrück Summer Institute (OSI) workshop on citizenship and Indigenous claims to land. Her academic affiliations include a 2015-2016 fellowship at the Käte Hamburger Center for Advanced Study in the Humanities 'Law as Culture' at Bonn.
Her research spans Native American literature, law and culture intersections, social movements, and transnational identity formation. She examines how legal frameworks and cultural representations shape Indigenous narratives, particularly in 19th-century Native American Removal literature.
