Sabine Kropp is Professor and Head of the Department of Political System at Freie Universität Berlin's Otto Suhr Institute. Her research examines federal systems, multi-level governance, and comparative politics with regional focus on Germany and post-Soviet states.
Research Focus: Analyzes institutional resilience during crises, governance in hybrid regimes, and political cohesion in federal systems. Recent projects include COVID-19's impact on German federalism and governance variations in Russia.
Teaching: Conducts courses on Germany's government system, parliamentary communication, knowledge in politics/administration, and federalism in democracies/autocracies. Supervises doctoral researchers through the Graduate School of East Asian Studies.
