Sabine Gruber is a Research Fellow at the Department of Modern Languages within the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Tübingen. She leads projects in August Wilhelm Schlegel and Religion - Knowledge - Literature research areas, collaborating with Prof. Dr. Georg Braungart.

Her research focuses on German literature from the 18th to 20th centuries, with specialization in:
- Intertextuality between Jewish/Christian religion and arts
- Hymnology and liturgical poetry
- Diary studies and textual philology
- Music-language interplay in Romanticism
Publications span critical editions of Brentano’s works, hymnological commentary, and interdisciplinary studies on religious traditions and literary modernism. She has curated major exhibitions on Brentano and Ida Hahn-Hahn.
