SUHAILA Zainal Shah

Suhaila Zainal Shah is a Research Fellow at the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Her work bridges sociology with interdisciplinary research focusing on social inequalities, urban development, and technology's societal impact. She holds a Ph.D. in Humanities from SUTD (2023) and a BA in Criminology from the University of Liverpool (2018).

Her research examines gendered work-life dynamics, digital divides, and inclusive urban policies. Notable projects include analyzing mothers’ technology use during the pandemic, participatory budgeting in Asia, and climate action prioritization. She collaborates with Samuel Chng’s team on Future-Ready Society initiatives.
