S. Abu Turab Rizvi is Professor of Economics at Lafayette College, where he previously served as provost. He holds visiting affiliations with the University of Pennsylvania’s Alliance for Higher Education and Democracy (Penn AHEAD) and Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree from Vassar College
- Ph.D. in Economics from the New School for Social Research
Research Focus: His work spans economics of higher education, democratic governance in academic institutions, and interdisciplinary humanities initiatives, evidenced by leadership in the Lehigh Valley Engaged Humanities Consortium.

- Georges Lurcy Research Fellowship at Brookings Institution
Leadership: Principal Investigator for the Lehigh Valley Engaged Humanities Consortium grant. Board member of Fleming Museum of Art and trustee of Hugh Moore Historical Park.
