Matthew Hartley is a Professor of Education and Board of Advisors Chair of Education at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education (Penn GSE). He also serves as Executive Director of Penn AHEAD (Alliance for Higher Education and Democracy). His roles include overseeing academic and student affairs, admissions, and strategic planning. Hartley holds master’s and doctoral degrees from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.
