Her research focuses on philosophy of technology, phenomenology, feminist and environmental ethics, postphenomenology, and the Anthropocene. She explores how technological mediation shapes human existence, ethical responsibility, and ecological awareness. Her work integrates classical philosophical traditions with contemporary critical theory, especially Heideggerian and feminist thought. She is deeply engaged with sustainability, digital culture, and Indigenous worldviews, seeking transformative ethical frameworks for the modern age.
The most recent publications reveal a strong trend toward postphenomenology, new materialism, and interdisciplinary ethics, particularly in relation to technology, time, and environmental crisis. Her scholarship increasingly bridges Western philosophy with Indigenous epistemologies and ecological concerns, emphasizing ontogenetic processes and speculative fabulations. She frequently publishes on Heidegger, digital art, and the philosophical implications of renewable energy, reflecting a consistent commitment to rethinking human-technology-environment relations.
She has received notable recognition for her edited volume Sustainability in the Anthropocene, including being recommended by CHOICE and featured by Yale Climate Connections. She serves as Associate Editor for Philosophy & Epistemology International Journal and on the editorial board of Gatherings: The Heidegger Circle Annual.
Dr. Lally is actively involved in academic service and public engagement. She hosted the 55th Annual Meeting of the Heidegger Circle at Gonzaga in 2021, centered on sustainability and technology. She frequently gives invited talks on feminist and eco-ethics. She advises doctoral students in leadership studies and is committed to educating for social justice and the common good. Her service extends beyond academia, including roles on the Board of Main Market Co-op and Inland Northwest Community Gardens.
She is a member of several professional organizations: International Leadership Association (ILS), Society for the Study of Social Sciences (4S), Society for Philosophy and Technology (SPT), Society for Philosophy and Human Sciences (SPHS), and Society for Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy (SPEP). Her work is supported by her deep engagement with interdisciplinary research networks and editorial collaborations.
