Ryan Thomas

Ryan Thomas is a Professor of Mathematics at Charleston Southern University, where he integrates his research interests in mathematics education and technology use in higher education into his teaching. He actively contributes to the Math Pathways Project Team, an initiative by the Tri-County Crade to Career Collaborative aimed at enhancing mathematics education in the Lowcountry.

Dr. Thomas is affiliated with the Association of Christians in the Mathematical Sciences and the South Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics. His academic work emphasizes the role of technology in improving student learning outcomes in mathematics courses.

Outside academia, he is a father of two and an active member of Summerville Baptist Church, where he plays bass guitar in worship services and co-leads an adult Sunday school class with his wife, who is also a doctoral recipient.
