Dr. Ryan M. Broxterman is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Geriatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition & Integrative Physiology. He is also a Research Health Scientist at the Salt Lake City Veterans Affairs Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Center. His research focuses on vascular, metabolic, and neuromuscular function in health and disease, particularly in aging populations and cardiovascular conditions. Key areas include oxygen transport, exercise tolerance, skeletal muscle bioenergetics, and hypertension management.
Education: PhD from Kansas State University (2012), MS from Washburn University (2007). Fellowship training at the University of Utah School of Medicine and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
