His research examines neurohumoral control of muscle blood flow during exercise and chronic sympathoexcitation in HF. Recent studies include the effects of antioxidants, BH4, and statins on vascular function. His work is extramurally funded and involves collaborations with the Veterans Administration.
Notable projects include investigating adrenergic regulation, baroreflex dysfunction, and sympatholysis impairment in HF patients. He employs techniques like Doppler ultrasonography and peripheral sympathetic nerve recording.
