Ryan Gerald Anderson is an Associate Professor of Agricultural Education at the Department of Agricultural Sciences, Texas State University in the College of Science and Engineering. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at Iowa State University and as a professor at Sauk Valley Community College, where he established the first student-run farm in Illinois.

His research focuses on virtual/augmented reality applications in agricultural education, STEM integration into agricultural curricula, and the scholarship of teaching & learning. He has pioneered agricultural mechanics curriculum development and teacher training programs.
Recent publications highlight innovations in virtual reality welding simulations, STEM outreach, and agricultural laboratory resource allocation. These works emphasize technology-enhanced skill acquisition and educational equity.
