Ryan C. Platte is a Teaching Professor of Classics and Director of the Ancient Greek Program at Northwestern University. He holds a PhD from the University of Washington. He has authored Equine Poetics, exploring Indo-European influences on Homer's portrayal of horses and horsemanship, and published on cinematic adaptations of Homeric epics.
