Bruno Currie is a Professor of Greek Literature at the University of Oxford and holds the position of Monro Fellow and Tutor in Classics at Oriel College. He specializes in early Greek poetry, particularly Homer, Hesiod, and Pindar, with a focus on interactions between ancient Near Eastern mythology and early Greek literature. His research also explores ancient Greek religion and its relationship with poetry, emphasizing intertextuality in epic and lyric traditions.
Currie's academic background includes qualifications of MA and DPhil from Oxford. His recent publications analyze topics such as Homeric epic, textual interpretations of ancient works, and religious themes in classical texts. He is currently working on a book titled *Hesiod and Myth*. His work bridges literary analysis with historical context, contributing to understanding the cultural and mythological foundations of ancient Greek literature.
